Hello everyone!

This is to let you all know that I've decided to start taking commissions.

A look of my gallery will tell you what kind of stuff I enjoy drawing, but I'm open to all sorts of ideas.

Starting prices are
$15 for a sketch
$30 for a coloured drawing
Adding more characters or a more detailed environment will affect the price. Final prices will be worked out via notes and/or email. These are all in US dollars and payment is done through Paypal.

If you're interested, feel free to send me a note and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. :)

Cheers! :D

In the works

Well, EdemiaWorld is getting a face-lift, courtesy of Comicpress. So far it's being updated weekly, every monday. So be sure to go check it out. :D

Right now I'm running the first few random strips June and I made, but after those we'll be starting on story arcs. :)

In other news, I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the new Dungeons&Dragons 4th edition books. I've heard a lot of positive reviews from people who actually played it. There are also many nay-sayers on forums and such, but when I look at their reasons for hating the new version, I notice that they criticize things that I don't care about. =P

I also purchased the Army of Darkness RPG, by Eden Studios. It follows the same set of rules from All Flesh Must Be Eaten, only it's all streamlined to be more cinematic in it's experience. I for one think it's bloody awesome. Makes me want to organize a little zombie-fest cinematic one-shot. :D

I still enjoy Warhammer fantasy role-play, it's fun and very gore-friendly, but then I look at the new Warhammer 40k RPG and I see a lot of stuff they did better in that version; so I can't help but feel a bit cheated. =P

Well... I think I'm done journaling for now. See you all later. :D

Hating humanity? I sure don't.

Sat May 24, 2008, 6:49 PM
Okay, I don't often rant, but I am really tired of the whole "humanity is a cancer on this planet" thing.

Sure, humanity as a race makes war, kills and does all sorts of nasty things. Well guess what? SO DOES EVERY OTHER SPECIES!
Some races of ants will take over another hive, kill the queen and literally use the captured ants for slave labor. Working them to death until it's time to capture another hive. Humanity didn't invent war. I think the big difference is that you don't hear about the great ant wars on CNN.

As a member of humanity I am offended to be lumped in with all the murderers, rapists and genocidal maniacs. When's the last time you heard someone say "Humanity is awesome! We created art, philosophy, and the internet!" ?
... not very often I bet.

Well, I'm gonna say it right now: HUMANITY ROCKS! GO TEAM!

We humans are the only ones on this planet who will actively seek the companionship of other species. We humans are the only ones who even care about this planet. Heck, if wolves had their way they'd EAT EVERYONE.

I'm aware of all the pollution and wasting natural resources and all that. I'm aware of WWII, 9-11 and all the other really bad things that happened. I'm not blind to all the bad stuff. I watch the news like most. My question is why do a lot of people judge humans based solely on the acts of a few bad people? For every awful person we hear about on the news, there are thousands of perfectly nice and happy people living out their happy lives.

I have a wife that I love, I collect Warhammer 40k miniatures and I really like zombie fiction. I'm trying my best to create art and comics that people will enjoy and I hope to make a living out of it. I wear a leather jacket because it's stylish and it was given to me by my dad, who wore it when he was young. I like a good hamburger. All-in-all I consider myself a good person.

But then I hear someone go on about how we are a cancer on this world and we shouldn't be. What the heck, man? What's this "we" business? Apparently it's okay to generalize when you're talking about the entire race. A lot of people seem to miss that it's profoundly racists.

If I were to say "All jews are money-grubbing bastards." I'd be labeled a hate-filled racist, and rightly so! The most common arguments being: "Not all jews are like that, it's just a stereotype, you shouldn't judge all the jews that way."

You see where I'm going with this?

Not all humans are like that, it's just a stereotype, and you certainly shouldn't judge everyone that way.

You can say "I hate how man-made polution is destroying our environment." but don't go around saying "Humanity should be killed off for destroying our environment!" That's just wrong, man.

I have faith in humanity. I believe it is filled will well-meaning people who will do the right thing when the time comes. You may think I'm wrong (or KNOW I'm wrong, since you're so obviously right), but I'm not gonna change my mind. I'm human and I'm going to support the team.

So what I'm trying to say is: Be nice. You're allowed to be angry at the bad stuff, but don't forget all the good you don't hear about. :)

PS: Sorry if this rant is random. I'm not an expert at ranting. =P
